The Ergonomic Professional

I thought I was paying "enough" attention to this by just "sitting up straight" (when I remember to.) But Eve's program takes this to another level of self-awareness and environment. It is far, far more than just "get a different mouse" or "buy an ergo friendly keyboard." It's more than the tools.

Not only did I more or less redo my workstation at home, but since I have a "hybrid" work situation, I also invested in an "ergonomic nomad" type of set up. (A stand for the laptop, a portable, ergo friendly keyboard, and so forth.) This makes a massive difference in an environment where posture isn't, in any way, given a second thought. Once you see what Eve is working hard for people to realize (and that means everyone from digital nomads to designers and architects) you can't "Unsee" it. It really is quite a serious issue and, to my knowledge, she's the only one who has put together such a complex program addressing it. Again. . it's far more than "just the tools."

I have that image of the caveman literally at my desk station. . .and walking around NYC seeing people all hunched over. . . as I said earlier, it's tough to "unsee." It's also literally the wallpaper on my phone, so when I do have to use it. . .I remember to at least look up. It's tough to clearly articulate how "deep" this particular vein of knowledge goes once Eve opens your eyes to it.
